I’ve been a satisfied customer of Automotive Excellence for around a decade. They kept my Nissan in top condition until I sold it after 17 years and about 177K miles. They charged much less than Nissan’s dealer service, did great work and were scrupulous about only providing necessary service and parts. They earned my loyalty. I purchased a new car 2 years ago – they are and will remain my service destination.

New to the area, I needed to have a scheduled maintenance done on my older, Honda Civic. Leary of using the local, dealership, I wanted to find a reputable, local, independent Honda service facility. Using Yelp, based upon customers actual reviews and ratings, I decided to give Auto Excellence a try (Service date 11/19/21). I’m happy to say the very complimentary customer reviews on Yelp are accurate. Having done my homework prior, I found the the pricing very reasonable. I also found the well appointed shop, and highly professional demeanor of both the mechanic and the customer service person, Darlene, to be a confidence builder. I had made a good choice. Results: They gave me a reasonable price quote, a timely and convenient appointment, approximate time needed to complete and afterward, a ’heads up’ for possible future service needs. I used to live in the East Bay and built a really good relationship with my former mechanic over there. Needless to say, one of my concerns about moving to the Rohnert Park area was having to find a new mechanic who was just as solid and reliable. I had my doubts. Then I had the opportunity to speak with Dave. I liked him right off the bat. He was extremely friendly, personable and easy to talk to. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also provide you with a ride home in certain cases. That's when I had the opportunity to speak a little more with him one on one. While listening to Dave, I got the calming sense that I had found the ideal replacement for my old mechanic. Like any other business owner, he's trying to run his business during these hard times, but he's not out to price gouge anyone. He believes in checking all the options to resolve a problem, not just the most expensive one with the same 'Take It or Leave It' attitude you get from most mechanics. I will definitely go back to him and recommend him to my friends.
